Photography is painting with light. This class will cover the keys to improving your digital photography skills and getting comfortable with your camera’s controls. We’ll cover the basics of the exposure triangle (aperture, shutter speed, and ISO) and discuss how to adjust each for different shooting situations and to create different artistic effects. We’ll review some principals of good composition as they relate to photography and some basics of post processing in the computer. Classes will include some photo assignments and critique sessions focused on how to improve your pictures during and after capture.
Needed for class: a digital camera, preferably a DSLR, and a flash drive with 5-10 pictures on it.
A juried artist and board member of the Cape Cod Art Association, Susan’s work has been exhibited at multiple galleries and museums in Massachusetts.
