This fun and informative class will leave you understanding color in a whole new way.  Each week we will focus on the properties of one color and create a project based on our exploration of those properties. No painful still life’s this time, each week will be a different project geared to help you understand the specific qualities and varieties found in each hue. I will begin each class with a discussion and demonstration. We will also discuss pigment properties like hues, and transparent color vs. opaque color You will leave with a new appreciation for what your paints can do.

The first week, bring all the reds you have, including brownish reds like burnt sienna, anything that can pass as some sort of red and also any greens that you own and white. I will have extra paint on hand if you are missing a key color. Each week will be a new color group.
