Good observational and drawing skills are the basis for creating quality fine art. By learning to translate what they see into drawings, students are prepared to move into other media. This is a class designed for the beginner as well as those wanting to refresh their basic drawing skills. Topics of instruction will include composition, line, form, value, proportion, and perspective. Using both graphite and charcoal, students will strengthen their skills while being led through a series of exercises in addition to creating individual drawings. Subject matter will vary and include still life, landscape, and the figure. This class is a pre-requisite to the Mixed Media Drawing class with Susan Stranz. **The instructor is extremely allergic to fragrance. Please do not wear fragrance to class**
