The Cape Cod Art Association is a beautiful building and a lively place to donate your time and energy.
Whether you are an painter, a photographer, a lifelong art appreciator or a new resident who would like to be surrounded with art and artists, we have a wide variety of opportunities for you.
The Cape Cod Art Association has over 1100 members and we depend on our wonderful volunteers to do many things. Our two on-site galleries are open for 50 weeks a year, seven days a week. We hold fifteen major gallery exhibits each year in our own galleries as well as in three off-site galleries and we nurture novice artists with numerous classes, workshops, critiques and demonstrations while, at the same time, we provide developing and more accomplished artists with advanced art classes.
We have current needs for:
1. Maintenance –
Are you skilled with a putty knife and hammer? We need people to do a little painting, carpentry, changing light bulbs and banging a nail or two.
2. Exhibit Hanging:
Do you have an eye for hanging a picture straight and can devote a few days to help hang paintings for the shows in our galleries? We would like to have your name to join the team in hanging our shows.
3. Administration –
Do you like to get together with a few others to stuff envelops? Would you like to greet people coming in to our Gallery or answer the phone upon occasion?
4. Special Events –
Do you enjoy interacting with people? Do you like to host or hostess receptions, greet people and keep punch glasses full? We would love to have you help us with our artist award receptions.
5. Gardening –
Do you enjoy putting in plants and pulling weeds as you walk by? Come help us upgrade and maintain our beautiful new entry.
6. Anything else?
Let us know what your interests and expertise are and we will match you with an interesting volunteer opportunity.
