Working mostly with coastal subjects, John Tunney creates impressionistic land and seascapes, still lifes, abstracts and creative treatments of jellyfish, lobsters and other icons. He prints his own work using archival art papers and pigment inks, creating limited edition prints that often have a look and feel similar to paintings and mono prints. The results have met with both popular and critical success. His work has won many awards and hangs on the walls of homes and offices all over North America and Europe. A frequent exhibitor in New England art shows, John was honored recently with a solo exhibition t the Griffin Museum of Photography. In addition to his fine art work, John teaches photography classes and workshops. He currently serves as president of Cape Cod Art Association.
