Monoprinting has been around for a long time, and is a well known technique used by Degas, Picasso, and Matisse. Learn the basics of monoprinting (a one of kind print), using acrylic paints on the new, easy to use Gelli Plate, while discovering the qualities of transparent paints, color mixing, and composition. You’ll learn how to print with several colors to create depth and richness, work in a series, and how to make and use your own stencils. Gelli plates and paints provided, students will need a pad of white 11″ x 14″ drawing paper, blue painters’ tape and paper towels.
Minimum of 6 students, maximum of 12.
