Cape Cod Hydrangea Festival 2017 Keepsake Art Poster- Call to Artists
The Cape Cod Hydrangea Festival is seeking artwork for this year’s commemorative Keepsake Poster.
Because the Festival is a celebration of all gardens, subject matter does not have to include hydrangeas but should feature the beauty of gardens and blooms in the Summer on Cape Cod.
The poster format is 12”x18” vertical with an artwork area of 10”x14” vertical.
Please provide cropped artwork or specific crop marks.
Works may originally be of any medium, but must be submitted digitally.
Submission should be high resolution, preferably 600 or 300dpi.
The poster is advertised across the Festival and available for purchase online.
The chosen artist will be credited on the poster and receive copies of prints.
The Third Annual Cape Cod Hydrangea Festival takes place across Cape Cod during July 7-16, 2017.
This ten-day festival celebrates not only the region’s iconic mophead hydrangea bloom, but gardens of all shapes and sizes, too.
100% of proceeds benefit local nonprofits – the festival raised $33,000 in 2015 and more than $52,000 in 2016.
Aside from garden tour ticket sales, a large part of this fundraising is the annual Keepsake Art Poster.
Printing has been generously sponsored by Hyannis Country Garden in 2016, and again for 2017.
The posters are provided to all participating nonprofits and sold at each garden for a suggested $10.
The 2016 Poster featured a stunning oil painting from Julia O’Malley-Keyes of Falmouth.
