One summer spent in Chatham during college was enough to convince Ann that Cape Cod would be her home. Her creative career has taken various paths including pottery, graphic design and photography. But drawing and painting (specifically watercolor), have always been Ann’s mainstay even when her energy was elsewhere. Now, painting is her priority, and she counts herself lucky to have the opportunity to pursue her artistic goals with commitment and focus. Her accomplishments have been recently recognized by inclusion in Deborah Forman’s book “Contemporary Cape Cod Artists: Images of Land and Sea”. In conjunction with creating award-winning paintings, Ann has expanded her profile by demonstrating her technique and teaching workshops. Her paintings combine the fluidity of watercolor with intricate detail and vibrant color. She finds interesting and challenging subject matter everywhere – from woodland scenes and local architecture to cityscapes and street musicians. Ann’s professional affiliations include memberships in the New England Watercolor Society, Pennsylvania Watercolor Society, Philadelphia Watercolor Society, and Signature Status in the Transparent Watercolor Society of America. She is represented by Gallery Antonia in Chatham, an association Ann cites as successful in every way and
an invaluable addition to her life as an artist.
